Bit of a catch 22 this. Huge game for our season but it all depends on our attitude and intensity. Without sounding disrespectful we could definitely afford to rest a few bodies next week, namely Ellis, holdsworth (if hornes fit, or azza) and I'd rest O Meley too and give Johnson or Bowden a run out. Just hope gentle isn't too stubborn next week because we cannot run the risk of picking up any more injuries before the final. We've already lost McDonnell, crooks, galea, and possibly now lineham. We need our captain fit for wembley and we all know how important holdsworth & O Meley are to our team. They are the three I'd be looking to rest.

I would rest Holdsworth and maybe Ellis. Then bring in some you forwards such as Bowden, and Johnson like you said. I think its a game we still need to in though.

Think gentle will rest 4-5 players, only one I feel certain about is Holdsworth, I'd rest Whiting as we need his utility value on the bench at Wembley. As long as Azza & Houghton both play no need to rest either (spell each other). Expect Ellis to play but maybe not the full 80.

think we will go for our strongest line up, gentle and pearson won't want all the hard work done against the dobbins to risk any negative result against a Salford team with nothing to lose, we can still get 5th place and should be aiming for it

Everyone is scoring for fun against Salford, who have nothing to play for and half of their team have no future at the club. We can easily rest about 5/6 players and still get the 2 points.

Correct we need to remain focussed for this one, a few players will be rested (Holdsworth the obvious one IMO) but to me its a must win to keep the momentum going. You can guarantee that Noble will be telling his players that we have one eye on Wembley, and they will get a lift IF Holdsworth name is not on the team sheet along with a couple of others.

Think we will win but not expecting anything like a repeat of Widnes.

Strongest side possible without playing anyone who has anything more than usual wear and tear for this stage of the season.

Holdsworth should be rested for this IMO. Salford are his old team and old teammates always tend to go in that bit harder on each other, we can shuffle things around if needs be for other positions but halfback is an area we do not have an abundance of choices.

It will also give Horne a chance of a run out IF he is fit to play.

Was a relief to see that huge smile from Holdsworth. As for Shaul he did it all game long and seemed to get under Burns skin just as much as Miller did.
