Why would we need Burgess?

I get what you’re saying PT but is Proctor a prop- able to give the full minutes required in that position and both Shaw and Salabio are for the future - now to make the numbers up. I’d snap Burgess up if true - we’re desperate!

Burgess on a short term deal for rest of season allowing us to take a close look at him is a no lose for me.

If he comes in and does a job, great, if not he will have cost us a few quid, but nothing more.

Burgess has only been back playing amateur level for a couple of months after retiring because he couldn’t cut it anymore. He isn’t going to be anywhere near top level match fit and we don’t have time ‘to take a look at him’ in our position. If we are still spending money i’d rather try and find a decent three-quarter with it.

He does the minutes of a prop. He may look knackered but he puts it in.
