Kane Evans linked in the media to ourselves Hull Fc and Warrington, Wire appear to have pulled out and Evans has now been released from his Contract in the NRL to come to a SL club, money seems to be on Hull but we will see. The bloke looks like Marmite either you like him or you don't, he has had a poor season with discipline so could be a hot head to handle over here. Thoughts.

Looks exactly what we need, but he fits the bill for most SL clubs.

I'm guessing he's Andrew Fifita type money so in theory, we have the money and the space, but with the loss of the SKY money who knows anymore.

The biggest problem as ever for us is that even if we can match the money, almost any destination other than BV looks attractive after years in the NRL.

The lack of sky money should have been a priority of the club to look at ways of replacing some or all of the shortfall. Yet again the club have failed promoting and marketing.

I can’t see a NRL player giving up the final year of his contract to come to Wakefield. I’ve no idea what he earns, but I reckon it’s probably more than he’d get playing for us.

His club have agreed to release him so he can come over to Superleague.

Also paying part of his wages
