Didn’t see the last 3 games, however, just opening a thread for discussion.
A good win last night but What has really changed ?
• Are the players playing better because of better coaching techniques (hard to see this as such a short space of time)
• Had the players lost communication with CC?
• The team sheet doesn’t seem to have changed significantly?
• Have the match tactics changed significantly?
• Players playing for next season ?

It does make you wonder……….
On another note great to see such a big crowd at the Hull game on Sky last night……. Not! The game is in decline which is a shame.

I think there are some players who, for whatever reason, didn't want to play for Chester and when you go back to the alleged player revolt of last season, perhaps there was something in that.
Certainly the players dont suddenly improve but, perhaps some different input from the coach can change their mentality.

There is usually a "bounce" when the coach is changed and there is no doubt that everyone is playing for each other.
Our line defence looks pretty good and there is a decent scramble.

Think it's down to being more positive in attack ,and Lino is beginning to look like a good signing

Think we need to stay calm here. In essence, very little has changed.

This is still Chesters team and Poching will have had little or no chance to make any real changes.

What I suspect WP has done is told the players to go out and show him what they can do and justify their place in next year's squad, whether that squad has him at his head or someone else.

So I think we need to hold fire on judging both the players and the coach, best just to enjoy for now. When it all settles down we will soon see if the team's flaws have been truly addressed or as much as they possibly can be without an off-season and a few new players.

Lets not forget how good we were when Chester first arrived. He loosened the reigns a little but I don't think he changed the side all that much either?

I was going to ask the same question without doing Chester an injustice.
Something must have changed because that result against HKR was achieved without our regular full back and centres and when you add late withdrawal s it's quite an achievement.

As the season is coming to an end it became clearer that Leigh wouldn't pull off a great escape so that could well be helping the lads and coach to loosen up a bit too.

Yeah, a lot less pressure now and a lot more freedom.
However, the same could be said for KR too and they came second last night

We can with the two wins prepare with certainty for another season in SL.

I think it's a confidence thing.
When you change coaches you get the "just go out and enjoy yourself' thing. You can't easily do that as the old coach.

Chester had a similar run a month or so ago.
It's hard to sustain without more significant changes but Willie seems to have got them on that wave.
Let's see how it goes. I'm enjoying the ride for now.

The left edge is still weak and soaks in tries, three I think last night but the overall change is refreshing to say the least
