It would still only have been either a penalty further back or the Wigan guy racing against 4 players in a better position than him so wouldn't have scored in my opinion.

It's the gobbing off to/crowding round refs I don't like.

It's getting more like continental soccer every year. IMO you should only speak to the ref when he's asked to speak to you. Let them/ their team make up their own minds, without the pressure of players appealing to influence their decisions.
