It does state "initial allocation" of 2,075 terrace and 125 seated tickets. We sell out then there will be more to come.

The club have recently taken the decision to move all away game ticket sales away from the DW Stadium ticket office and bring in-house at the Arena.

Although I can see the long term benefits of doing this it's a massive risk choosing to the biggest game of the season (for away support) to get off the ground. Collection only has frustrated a lot of fans who either live a distance away or are simply at work and unable to get down to the Arena.

It's not collection only, you can order by phone also.
I appreciate there will be horror stories about people having to wait 20mins on the phone and giving up, but you can still do it.

As an aside, there will be reasons why they've moved away day sales from the stadium ticket office. They won't just have done it to pee people off.

Not true. Knowsley Road was 17,500, our new one holds 18,000.

I think the issue with Wigan tickets is having to share the office with Latics. I have to say I like our system, I always order online and then have a ride to the ground a couple of days before the game to collect.

To be fair I don't think the comms release by Saints helped. It said the game was a sell out which would naturally panic Wigan fans when in actual fact they hadn't gone on sale. They were presuming that Wigan will sell out their allocation (which they will) but it was still a false advertisement.

After reading the comments on here though I just hope we can give you a game

I agree that moving away tickets into the Arena is a good move, if only to encourage more traffic towards the club shop.

It had to happen at some point I guess. It’s clearly not a great system at the moment but presumably they’ll look to grow it and expand as things progress.

One thing it does do is help safeguard against any further problems Latics may face in the future. Everything looks rosey with these new owners at the moment but as proven with the previous Chinese owners and with this current situation at Chelsea, you never know what is around the corner.
