Played well tonight for a lad apparently on an 11k contract. Wigan have Offered 60k to stay and an NRL team have offered 90k.

Well he did screw up on 1 try but he finished that try with great composure for a young player

Still got two years on his contract.

I tihnk it's fair to say that if Wigan don't dig their heels in on this one Lenegan might need to spend all his time looking after Oxford United.

Think you could have left the 2 years out as irelevant these days when it comes to contracts. He's a Fantastic player but aint going to to command a transfer fee like Sam as not been there and done that yet. Think he could have been offered more earlier to keep him focused on just Wigan.

Like I said there's no way Wigan will just let him leave like the others. He hasn't played a full season yet and still has two years left on contract.

I never said Wigan would allow him to just leave but 100k to 200k offer and 90k to the lad a year to start would take some beating. A bit more of an earlier offering might not have made any other offers more of a risk.

Plenty of time for Wigan to sort him out a contract he deserves. Like when he's actually played an entire season and proved himself - which he has.

He said in his post match interview there is an opportunity to go down under. Looks like he's on his way.

On the sky one he mentioned that he got a chance early season down under(wcc) I think now he's done a season his contract will be a priority for Wigan.

His contract needs renegotiating the day after the GF. The lad is a real talent. If he has had offers from the NRL it will need all of Lenegan and SW's powers of persuasion to keep him here together with a suitable wage rise. That's what they're paid to do so let's hope they can pull it off.

He said he'd had the chance to go down under at the start of the season as in playing in the WCC.

Hope we sort a new deal out for him but if he's got a couple of years left as it is hopefully we've got some breathing space.
