Wigan 19 Man Squad

"Wigan Warriors Head Coach Michael Maguire has named his 19 man squad to face Bradford Bulls at the DW Stadium on Friday night, 8pm kick off.

Two important Super League points are up for grabs before the Warriors head to Wembley for the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final against Leeds Rhinos a week on Saturday.

Maguire has decided to rest Andy Coley, Brett Finch and Lee Mossop for the game but both Paul Deacon and Jeff Lima who missed the win over Salford return. Also included is prop Eamon O'Carroll returning to the first team squad for the first time in over a year following a couple of run outs recently in the 20's side.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Michael paid praise to Eamon and his hard work in getting fit once more, he said,

"Everyone at the Club is delighted to see Eamon back, he has had an extremely tough last 14 months with his injury but his never say die attitude to training and rehabilitation has been a shining example."

I am liking the squad rotation.

If O'Carroll plays well he could squeeze onto the bench for the challenge cup final.

Not if Prescott comes through this game unscathed. It'll go back to the 4 that we had for most of the season in Lima, Coley, Mossop + Prescott.

Glad to see O'carroll back , seem to of worked hard to get back fit

Its great to see Eamon back in the squad, but i feel he is no where near getting into the challenge cup final squad.

hows O'Carroll done in the U20s?

Great to see that we're rotating the squad. But I would like to see Carmont rested.

forgot about prescott - I was thinking he might be able to edge out Hock.

Hock plays like he did last week and nobody will be edging him out

Hock did play well but don't forget that was against Salford.
Still not convinced Gaz would be up to the pace of a Cup Final against a fast team like Leeds.

Salford were dire as were Wakefield when Hock scored a hattrick. Last weeks performance means nothing for Hock he has to have a stormer for me against the Bulls to be considered for the final.

Same. Play Goulding on that side.

Bradfords season is now over, they have nothing to play for. They could play really well, but after their game last week I am not expecting it. They had to be commited in defence last week and they just wern't. I feel another Tomkins hatrick coming.
