And I am loving it. It almost never went, I thought it would take years to claw back this kind of hatred from other fans.....

It has only taken one top of the league finish and a dodgy loss against Leeds.

So.....

Is Sam Tomkins really a horrible person with a face you just want to punch?
Do we 'control' the RFL?
Are we really the taliban?
Are they jealous of our flags?
Are they annoyed about our overseas signings?
Are they envious of our young talent?

Or.....

Are other teams still massively jealous of our succesfull era and our tag as the best known and biggest RL club?

What is the reason for such hatred, it has just gone up a knotch from what I can see, both on here and speaking to friends who are saints fans..... One saints fan even said to me today (although off topic) 2our new stadium is basically a smaller version of Wembely"

As an attepmt to dig out another desperate argument against our club.

I was not around from 1984 to 1991 and can barely remember anything before 1995 so could some of your who were around maybe explain the hatred and how it developed?

Why Gary Schofield is like he is - and maybe why certain refs ( Ganson and Bentham) who grew up in this era may - under pressure - yield to their deep-seated antipathy towards Wigan!

I'm not sure thats it though. I wasn't around but I have a feeling our fans would have been unbelievably arrogant about those times.

I do think it is a throwback to the fact that we were so successful in the past, in being so we embody everything that was "bad" about the game. Hence why certain parts of the media and dare I say the RFL seem at times to do their utmost to belittle us. Even in our current clean state without any association to the cheating of the past, we are still the Dwayne Chambers of SL and I do think that if we do go on to more successes it'll only increase!

We are still the biggest name in British RL but I'd say Saints aren't too far off.

I'll probably start disliking Wigan again when they win something. That's when the green eyed monster comes out but he's been too busy with Saints and Leeds for the last decade.

Did it ever really go away? I think not!

Even though I'm sure he's intending to get a few bites, it's true what hes said. The Wigan hating has reached all new levels this week. Some people need to take more of an interest in their own clubs instead of sulking about Wigan.
