I don't think the journo's will be so dumb. Whether he plays for Wigan or not is irrelvant. He's been the best young player BY FAR! It's not even a close contest.

The "shortlist" shouldn't even be a list, all things being even. I don't think a player of any age has had anything like the impact on his team that Sam has on Wigan this season I stop short of saying he's Man of Steel material (though bias prevents me from thinking of a valid reason why) but he should be a shoe-in for Young Player of the Year.

I think he should have been a nominee for man of steel. He hasw turned our season around. His effort has been fantastic and the tackle on fox at the weekend tipified the lads commitment
