| Just seen on the Pies board a thread about out of contract players and ours are:
Chris Melling
Andy Ellis
Chad Randall
Nick Kouparitas
Rob Purdham
Karl Temata
Danny Ward
Oliver Wilkes
David Williams
Out of them, I'd give Ellis another 3 years, Purdham 2 more (finish his career here, then offer a coaching role), Wilkes 1 more year (as he's impressed so far this year) and Williams another 2 years (as long as he keeps playing).
The rest can go, as they don't offer much anymore. The squad's become stale and we need some new blood in and need a new dimension.
Interestingly, Pryce, Ambler and Burnett's contracts run out this season, so maybe we can get them in on permanent deals.

| I agree, apart from Williams who has done nothing to show me he deserves a Super League contract. He's been knocking around for ages now and isn't good enough. Could probably do a job in the Championship if he can stay fit.
I'd be tempted to offer Ward a 1 year deal if he manages to stay fit through the rest of the season.

I'd be surprised if Temata keeps going tbh.

| I'd keep Melling for his versatility and commitment. And by all accounts he's an excellent squad member (and a qualified physio). And only 26.

| Lee Mitchell (Wire) and Mike Burnett (Hull FC) both out of contract at the end of this season too.

Think we should let Temata go, takes up an overseas spot and getting on a bit, think he's 33 this year.
Agree Lister about Williams, but I think the club have a tendancy to give our yoof a new contract if they feature for a few games. I suppose it's make or break for him over the next few months.
I'd look down under for a new 7 - there are some gems in the under 20s if we check the right places, Dobson for example.

Maybe we could flog him to Bradford?

| I was gonna hope for Leeds McDermott probably rates him highly It would be nice to see a change, with them signing our unwanteds, as opposed to the other way round

| Agree re Williams.
Would offer Ward and Temata another year - Ward has been excellent this season and Temata is one of our few "big" players, but fitness an issue and he may have had enough. Melling i think is a great asset and i would keep him 2 years. Chad - need to see how rest of season pans out, but he hasnt looked the same player this year
