Left Crowther out because I think Wood deserves to keep the spot and I think we stronger on the right if we play Lindop on that wing for this game.

Three quarter line could be anything, but Ratchford dropping outs suggests at suggests at least one will return. Full strength I’m probably favouring Thewlis Snr over Lindop on the wing / but it’s a close one.

I’m also missing having Currie at 13, but Russell doesn’t seem good enough and Holroyd though good defensively, isn’t as strong going forward.


I’d always be tempted to keep Ratchford in the squad to be 18th man. In an emergency he could cover every position bar prop to a decent standard.


EDIT: I’d probably put Harrison at 13 and bench Yates, Harrison has been great the past few weeks and Musgrove seems to play better when starting and has been ok himself recently.

So Dan Russell doesn't even make the squad now, which does little to dispel many fans' fears that this was an epic waste of a quota spot. It's a long season and he still has time to come good, but the signs aren't great thus far.

Russell will be loaned-out/transferred in the near future.

So that's Tai and Russell (2) loaned out from our overseas 7 this season.

Russell has been a very poor signing, Tai to a lesser extent.
