I'm surprised that Butler hasn't made the 21 given that Bullock and Hughes are unavailable. Also surprised to see Wrench back in the squad as I thought that he was a week or two away from being ready to return.

Having Wrench available means that Powell could go with Mata'utia at Full Back, inclusion of Dean means that it could also be Widdop. I think that I would rather see Thewlis there as a straight swap, but I'm not the coach (luckily for us).

It looks like Robson will play with Butler not in the squad.

I doubt magoulias will be ready to start and I don't think daz Clark is fit enough to start either. I'm not sure why Butler is missing unless he picked up a knock.

How did Butlers stats compare for last weekend?

Not sure but he wasn't bad and was worthy of another go IMO. Strange one if he is dropped when we are light as it is.

I think Butler has a fair bit to do to show he can play at this level. Last year's coaching staff obviously had doubts & so does Powell. Might be injured but for me still has to step up.

he did ok last week, probably the best middle other than cooper for me, its a bit harsh dropping him for robson on his first week back, when i think he was missed a week or two through suspension

I have not studied last week's contribution ... which I am sure the Wire coaches have. He looks the part physically but for me he looks relatively easy to tackle.

I don't think Robson is as good as butler and he is smaller. I really don't rate Robson and don't know why we ended up retaining him when he had agreed to leave at the end of the 2020 season.

I don't know whether there are issues with butler behind the scenes which means nobody gives him a chance or he has picked up an injury which mean he misses out?
