Is anyone missing them? I was watching Origin this morning (when work wasn’t getting in the way), and I came to the conclusion that they don’t offer anything other than tradition.

I would happily consign scrums to history. They are ineffective in the modern game apart from removing 12 players from the game for 30 seconds. Very rarely is there a strike against the head anymore & the ball goes straight to the side putting it in the scrum.

RU is an even bigger joke ,sweaty forwards pushing & shoving & the half back still feeds his own forwards right in front of the ref.

Not missing them at all, and enjoying the games being faster without them. Now we just need to get rid of the farce of players standing around doing nowt for 30 seconds before a restart while waiting for the 'shot clock' to count down.

Missing them, like I miss hearing Stock/Aitken/Waterman "songs"

They shouldn't be brought back now. There is no detriment to the removal of scrums.

Yeah i was always dead against the idea of scrapping scrums, as i was firmly in the camp of they're part of our game.
But now we actually removed them i genuinely can't see the point in them anymore and much more enjoy games now a days. If we keep these rules for next year i'll be very happy

The issue is the 2021 RLWC, and if under international rules scrums are in, then SL is doing the home nations no favours by going through the 2021 season without scrums.

But from a personal viewpoint, I haven't really missed them.

I'm all the way with you in doing away with them. The recent games without them have been better than ever. In the old days, some scrums seemed to be together forever,
As for the shot clock, I'm counting every minute of some games. It's never too late to change the rules. but hand on your heart, do you really want to? Many people wouldn't change a thing.

I didn't see the point of them in League well before they were scrapped.
