| My brother is coming up for the Wigan match, staying in Winwick. Any recommendations for a curry house that side of town for pre/post match curry? TIA

| Ozmi is good facing the ground. The best curry house is Bombay 8 but you'll need a taxi for that.
Winwick is m62 jnc9....Bombay 8 is at the next jnc...8

| Cinnamon Lounge (town hall gates) , for me, as someone who'd have curry for EVERY meal..... guess what I had for tea.
Tried Ozmi 2 weeks ago, not bad at all.
Don't know if it'll be open by then, but there's a new one opening soon, above Wilkie's Taven (Church Street) The Green Pepper

Bombay 8 is multiple award winner and is currently the official best indian restaurant in the North Cheshire region....I seen that in a national curry magazine in Ozmi waiting area!

| I've eaten in Cinnamon Lounge a few times with no complaints (including on a New Year's Eve a couple of years ago).
I've only visited Bombay 8 once (so far) and wouldn't put anyone off that, it was midweek but still very busy which must say something for it's appeal / popularity.

I've tried all those mentioned here and The Raj is ahead in my opinion for food, atmosphere and service. It's still Bengali like all the others listed as "Indian" but at least it tries to offer true Indian cuisine through it's signature dishes. I recommend the Mango lassi to wash it all down with too and restore your flora and fauna.
It's on a difference scale in terms of venue and quality and you are likely to get less off the hoi polloi of Warrington.
Then there are some decent pubs and a wine bar / club for afters in Culcheth.
Number #19 bus takes you back to Winwick in 10 mins, or taxi for £5.
