Does anyone know what is going on with Hodgson? Unless I have missed it he doesn't seem to have signed a new contract anywhere, or have announced his retirement from the game.

Just had a look on the website and he is the only departing player to not give a farewell interview. Very strange!

There was talk of him being a 'marquee' signing for Keighley a few weeks ago. He never seemed to fully recover from the knock on the head he got against Widnes.

I would love Brett to be a part of our coaching team.

Throughout his career he just had 'it' I'm still unsure what 'it' is but he had it. Created tries like a pivot, kicked goals for fun and scored some crackers. Don't know how a guy of his stature made it to the heights he did, but he defied science time and again.

I firmly believe he was the difference the night when Huddersfield ended our season in 2011, and if he was wearing blue and yellow we could have gone on to have a shot at OT.

I remember warrington wolves foundation giving a contract to a couple who knew nothing about our club, to compose a club song.

The wolfie young supporters turned out to sing this new song that had been photocopied for them.

The reoccurring line in the chorus was "to see the wolves play in blue and gold"

Asked one of the Guardian's sports writers if he knew anything, very much in the dark. Apparently they requested an interview with Hodgson but the club declined.

The feeling seems to be that the Russell signing didn't go down well. I am told that was all sorted around the time of the Huddersfield eliminator, if you think back to after that game he didn't look a happy chappy and Carvell was seen consoling him. Then there was his wife's outburst on twitter after the grand final, saying we would have won had he played.

I find it all very strange because I have always thought him to be one of the nicest blokes in our game and just can't imagine him reacting to something like that. Who knows eh!

I think you're probably right, it would have been better if the parting seemed more amicable as he has been great for us since he signed, He was certainly a player I liked seeing in the wire shirt.
