What's everyone's predictions for Salford in 2016?

Will we make the top 8 before the split or will we be lingering in the bottom 8's fighting for our lives again?

For what its worth I think we'll be very similar to last year. I'm saying: 11th before split. 3rd in Middle Eights (survival).

I think our squad has less quality and start names than last year but has more grafters and professionals. Gone are the mercenaries and thankfully the Kiwi clique at the club now seems to have been broken up.

I think it will be harder in the middle 8's though as Championship clubs will now know better how to prepare for it throughout the season. Leigh look stronger with new signings and more experience. Sheffield are now full time as well. Halifax better financial grounding now and London more adapted to Championship life. Bradford will always be there or there abouts. With this in mind id ideally like to avoid middle 8's but I can't see us making top 8.

Fixtures are out now and season probably couldnt have started worse. Tough fixture away at Hull FC who if we have any chance of making top 8 we will have to compete with. This is followed by our annual second game of season drubbing by Saints at home in front of TV cameras. With East stand being closed and Sky Cameras pointing directly at it whilst we get a drubbing it wont bode well for any wavering fans wondering whether they want to follow the team this year.

Anyway, after this we'll hopefully string a few wins together and get some momentum. Here's to 2016!

Making predictions of a full season before the full squad has been assembled is, even for you, slightly excessive...

Now you're just being pedantic. You know very well I was referring to the full squad pre-season.

So I'm presuming all this new time on your hands means we'll have to put up with more of your drivel than normal?

I predict we'll finish first, stroll through the Challenge Cup, and score a record victory in the Grand Final against Wakefield.

Predictions at this stage are pointless opinion based on very little or no evidence. At least predicting our fate a few games into the season would be based on the evidence up until that point.

The championship after 2016. Unfortunately your club is a complete joke and the laughing stock of the game, run my a complete buffoon. Throwing money at players like Rangi Chase was always a car crash waiting to happen. You simply can't buy a team.

12th in 2016 and replaced by Leigh for 2017.

Seriously,if you have Sheens in charge of both recruitment and the playing side of things,you'd have to hope and assume that we'll punch above our weight.
I think we'll be in the mix for top 8

Unless there's a few more "better quality" players coming out way I'd take a punt for 11/12th and then the million pound game in the middles.......
