I suppose from a purely selfish line it's a good thing that so many of our players aren't in the W.C. you could imagine the injuries we'd accumulate and especially the "senior" players, Morley, Puletua & Meli.

However it would have been great to have seen 10 of [i"our"[/i players in the tournament.

Just as an aside, Jake Emmitt will become our 50th Welsh international, which is more than the other home nations put together (obviously not counting the GB team)



In the 2008 World Cup we only had 3 representatives (Fitzpatrick, Littler & Wilshere) but had 7 ex-Reds and 7 future Reds (post 200icon_cool.gif, how many will we be able to say by the 2017 version!!

At this stage last year I doubt any of us thought we'd have anything other than bit part players rather than the likes of Hock and Chase.

The fact that some of the new recruits who are over 30 haven't been picked suits me fine as they get a full off season and no chance of picking up injuries that would take longer to recover from because of their.

I wouldn't mind getting odds on us providing more GB/England (let's hope this folly of seperate home nations teams only happens during a world cup after this year) players from the ranks of our current crop of talented youngsters like the Walnes or Ford and Evalds.

I personally hope that Theo gets a run with France and shines as that then makes it harder fro Noble to keep him on the side lines too much next year. Get the feeling if given his chance he will be a star for France and people all over the world will take note of his talent.

It looks that way from his twitter/instagram, but all the sites listing a revised 24 man team don't include him...

possibly made the 26 person squad but not the final 24.

Whilst he's not listed in the 24 man squad, he's been tweeting about it, including a photo of his tour bag, in the last 7 hours (i.e. since the squad was trimmed). He'll be well gutted if the squad on the rlwc2013 site is correct.

Hope he hasn't just taken Red League's word as gospel. I'm still getting my Elliott Whitehead tattoo lasered off.
