Lets hope he has a no nonsense worth ethos. If the players are worried about losing their jobs, if Mr Matthews sets the standards, I'm sure the office staff will be more worried about their careers. Too many impotent people have been working in the offices at the club for a long time, this desperately needs to change. Some could argue it's more vital having the background staff excelling rather than the playing staff.

A Senior Business Development Manager? I don't know much about the structure of the Co-Op but this has me a little underwhelmed if I'm being honest. Hardly the executive board level candidate that I would've hoped for.
I'm just hoping Senior Business Development Manager in the Co-Op is more along the lines of a Commercial Director level in real terms.

Blinkington flip, you're hard to please. He's worked at board or board - 1 level at some pretty major high street names. That's not a bad appointment for the club, surely. |
