Very strange. Percival's deal is one of those horrible ones. If he turns out to be the star he looks like he could be, it'll be too short and like Eastmond he'll be talking about walking this time next year. But good to see him signed up.

Can someone explain Turner's new deal for me? He's already got another year after this one and hasn't played well enough to make securing him for longer a priority. Why not just wait to see how he performs to the end of the season and look at it then?

I agree, good news on both counts. I'm pleased these two have signed up for longer. I've been impressed with both of them, particularly given the continued upheaval caused (lately) by Brown's continued messing about with the line up of the team.

Some good news at last, would have liked Percivals deal to go to 2016. OK with Turner has done reasonably well considering he,s had to operate with an unsettled side and poor quality service from our acting halves.

Except for last week when he was an half.........

Perhaps Brown is giving all the squad a go at it.

I'd love to sign Percival and myler and get a widnes team built up but can't see it. Fantastic news for saints

I think with Percival we can reassess in 12 - 18 months. Ste Tyrer looked a talent at 1st but his career nose dived. Percival looks more talented to me but he's still developing so lets see where he is in 12 months or so and then we can offer him a new deal well before he's OOC. Good to get him signed up.

The Turner one surprises me too. Unless he was being courted after by other clubs I'm not sure why we've offered him a deal. Maybe Saints and Brown see more long term potential than we do on the face of it?

With the Percival one lets not be too worried. Turner has only done 6 months and got an extention.

With Percival it maybe that Saints could have offered 3 years, but that would have kept his wages down. With 2 years if his form continues, he can renegotiate next year for a 3 year one to take him to 2017 at a better rate than his current price.

I'm over the moon we tied Percival down on longer deal. Its not often I "big up" young lads but this lad has got pure talent. He's a real centre, the old style that's now gone out of fashion for a mobile backrow being thrown there.

I'm not so sure if have give Turner a new deal YET. He's not really impressed me that much. He's seems to lack effort and just goes thru the motions. I think he could be a good player but he's got to try harder. At the moment he's just a show pony.
