I thought he had an oustanding match today, with only one error (bomb knock on). He made a couple of great breaks, followed up, took the ball back well, was excellent defensively, kicked some great kicks (and converted all tries) and looked really sharp all match. He always plays to the top of his game in pressure matches which to me is a sign of a real winner. Joint MoM with Sia for me today.

He was very good today. I've been critical of his attack in the past but today he was on top form.

Sia was my man of the match today (again), he's outstanding in such a poor pack. We'd be truly stuffed without him. I wonder how long it will be before the big clubs come looking for him because IMO he's to good for us.

Makinson is not as good as Lomax on attacking options, but he is improving in every single game in his deputive position.
Will this cause a problem though, when Lomax returns at full back, Makinson will be stuck on the Wing with less involvement in the game.

Tommy is a good player and a good lad off the field. He's a good hard working lad but lomax is by the far the better player.

Well, Lomax has a crocked body and Makinson doesn't, and today, Makinson was a better player than Lomax. So stop putting the lad down.

He was being compared unfavourably to Lomax - not as a full back, but as a player. How is that not putting him down, especially when he has just had an outstanding game?
