Subject to fitness I'd like to see Makinson on the wing with Melissa at centre.

Makinson isn't named. Alleged injury although he looked fine to me. You wont see him back on the wing under the current regime as Franny might get a strop on if he's forced back into playing at centre.

No idea about a kicker. I've seen Wheeler bat them over but he's not overly consistent. I don't know whether Adam Swift can kick. He's played at scrum half in the u20s though.

I have to say I'm surprised that Gaskell has not been even included in the squad, unless he is injured. Sure Lomax and Lance where ahead of him, but now he is behind a stand off that was not even in the first team in Adam Swift.

I don't like to read too much into one squad selection, but it would seam that he certainly has put someones nose out of joint, feel sorry for the lad.

I'd rather see Wheeler at centre, but given the lack of Gaskell in this line up then there is little other options

Thats ok then as long as he looked fine to you,may be muscular,may be a dead leg,may be all kinds of things that your naked eye cant see.Dont suppose you were part of the group of people screaming " Meli your an idiot " as he scored where you ?

Anyone know anything about swift?

He's been playing very well in the u20s.

I've seen him play a couple of times for the u20s. I think he had a big injury one season. But that's it.

is he any good? A big opportunity for the lad this and a great game for him to start with cas tired after the wakey game and us having Wello and Laffrachi back with fresh legs.
