Very good half back and a decent goal kicker to boot glad he's getting a chance to prove himself at a higher level, hopefully he has a good year and comes back good enough to take over from Danny Orr.

if this turns out to be true then what are the chances of him being called back at any time?.

On dual registration he can alternate who he plays for weekly if needs be but he cannot play for both in the same week (say Leigh play Thursday and us Sunday he could only be picked for one).

Good signing for you. Him and Eden were the stars for us in the 9s competition. Seems to cope well under pressure too. Scored a few last minute penalties/drop goals.

Surprised he's playing at such a low level, if you listen to some of our fans you'd have thought he's on the verge of an England call up.

This will give ryan the chance for first team rugby, can only be good for him.
Hope it brings him on leaps and bounds, and set him up for a first team appearance for cas sometime next season.

Hopefully we can have the same result as we got from the Jordan Thompson deal, who imo came back to us a more rounded player. Brierley is a player who needs to 'cut his teeth' at a 'lower level' and could possibly come back to us a more experienced squad member.

As a Trinity fan I have only seen Ryan play about 5 or 6 games but what a great player to watch. Old style class to my mind. Can see the problem he has in that Chase never gets injured he must be the most durable half back in SL. I think Brierly just needs a chance. That said you guys have seen him play more than I have.

He should have played instead of McGoldrick last season but with Mattersons bromance with McGoldrick that was never going to happen.

Problem for us (Leigh) is, that if the lad shines and Cas get injuries, we would lose a player in a key position - i.e half back. I think that's why Millward always opted for centres/wingers/second rows, as D/R signings, whilst at Leigh. Batley lost half back Gareth Moore to S/L at the start of last season, and it took them some time to adjust to losing a key play-maker.

That said, I'm looking forward to seeing a star of the future (and local lad) in Leigh colours next season. I hope you guys steer well clear of injuries, especially at half back!

We have Chase, McGoldrick, Orr and the promoted Ben Johnston in the halves. Even Adam Milner could put a stint in there too.
