One year for Fozzard - great news given the rumour was he'd got a two year deal, hopefully he can do a job while our youngsters continue their development.
Also, new shirt sponser is Metrel, who I'm not aware of, but here's an interesting quote from the above article:
Quote Meanwhile, Metrel UK will take over as Tigers' main sponsor for the 2011 campaign as part of a deal which includes naming rights for the east stand at the club's new stadium for five years'"
So they're obviously confident on the stadium happening.

| It's a good news day! Maybe the Pope brought some of his magic fairy dust with him and sprinkled on Cas...

| I wonder if the fans/club will get money off trips to Slovenia ? No, I thought not. Good on the club for the work they have done.

| Two more good signings. I've never been a fan of Fozzard but we do need a more experienced prop to go with Huby and while he has a Cas shirt on he'll get my support. Only heard good things about Emmitt and the little i've seen of him he looks a good prospect and should fit in well with our rather young English squad.
The sponsor is very good news. Not so much a well known name of course, but they've chucked a good lump of cash at Cas and it's not only significant enough to have their name on our shirt it will also go on our East stand, our main seated stand. Great work by the club, Craig Poskitt and the team.

| Sounds good. I like that we're finally being smart about our contracts. No throwing about of 3 or 4 year sign ups.

| Fozzard is a mistake - he's offered little at Saints hhis year didn't really show any desire and has probably done a year too long already. Emmitt is a fantastic prospect solid performer already at Saints decent yards, good hands and a solid defence, so much so he may again continue into the play off eliminator and keep Faasavalu out of the side. Shame we couldn't keep him but with LMS, Josh Perry, Graham, Puletua and Clough he needs the game time to keep progressing as he's too good for dual contract and the national league.

It's only a 12 month contract though really, and we might just scrape another year out him. And you can't really compare the Saints team to the Cas team. What looks mediocre in your side might look great in ours, not to put down our side, but you catch my drift. If anything he'll give some experience to the young lads.

My thoughts exactly, even if he isn't outstanding he can at least nudge our young lads further in the right direction. God knows the guys got enough experience, just a shame that he probably won't be able to help with the element down there.

| I think the Saints fans are being too harsh on Foz. He's the most enthusiastic player in rugby league and is a massively positive personality to have around the place. One of the main reasons Saints brought him back from Hull KR was for his character.
He's not going to amaze anyone with his performances, but he'll be cheap for Cas and he is solid.

| GREAT NEWS!
Emmitt I'm delighted about - looks the part every time I've seen him.
Fozzard I have my concerns, but, if he does play it will be a massive last 12months for him I'm sure. More importantly though will be the work/influence he can have over Walker et al.
Extremely positive news about the stadium.
1 or 2 more astute signings + continued announcements/progess with stadium = FRANCHISE
Richard Wright - you may win me over yet!
