Heard a lot of interesting, and potentially, exciting things with relation to the owners plans for us going forward.
Also - we are trying to get Connor Bailey in from York early
Could it be anything to do with us potentially taking over the smc if city are relegated? Seen this floating around the city forums. They believe there massively in the poop if relegated

We're not taking over the smc. No one is taking on a £26m debt
Seen some rumours were moving to York which is just desperate dobbins fans trying to console themselves after they were convinced we were going to the wall and, again, utter nonsense.
I'd heard another rumour about buying some land and building our own offices, training ground, centre of excellence which would make more sense as its a tangible asset and worth the investment but may be borlox as we've only just moved to the university.
Whatever, the owners certainly have the financial clout to do pretty much anything they want
Training ground is true. Thirkell went to see Warrington and Wigans training facilities, and wants our own facility, and privacy. They've been to see sites That would certainly make sense and add value to the club in terms of tangible asset and a real homebase, wonder if they'd make an offer for the old County Rd site and develop that?

They have been to see a site in Cottingham - I can only think it's the old Lawns site. County Road isn't even owned by the Allams, they lease it off someone else, so probably a complicated buy, but I don't think that will be what they want either if he wants something comparable to Wigan and Warrington

| Cottingham makes sense, only 5 mins from the university so minimal disruption.
I've been told Thirkill is really enthused by the start we've had and ready to invest in a big way

When he does something, he wants to do it properly. Hence a different training facility, also enquiries to buy the stadium from the council - even to trying to get George Williams before we got Pryce.

I think all the signs have been positive for the new owners and no doubt probably buoyed by the reaction of the fanbase (given the past 4/5 years) backing the club which has further highlighted the real untapped potential to grow the club. Certainly very exciting times ahead for the club.
