The whole situation with Salford is way beyond a joke now
The whole 2025 season now has little to no integrity due to the gaping chasm in teams playing Salford under sanction than later if or when sanction are removed.
It’s got to the point already where every teams results including the for & against in scores against Salford do not count come the end of the season similar to when Toronto folded.
If the RFL do not do this then how can the final league positions have any credence or legitimacy and how do you say who is justified in being in the top 6 if it’s a close run thing?
Surely along with sanctions Salford should now face a significant pts deduction.
I don’t think their lack of honesty, accountability or communication is or has done them any favours either
If I were a Salford player that had an offer but weren’t allowed to leave previously I’d be pretty disgruntled to say the least.
