I don't think we've lost it.
That's what Cossa has been doing and I think doing it well.
I just think the link after Cissa is a bit too slow. And that's Lino and Max as well as Pitts.
Max needs to do better this week. His normal wide passes were well off but easily fixed I think.
Lost it probably wasn?t the right word to describe from me.
Cozza hasn?t been doing 80 minutes and in some cases a short spell so we have lost that over a lot of the game. Not that he hasn?t done well.
Cozza is a different link in that he?s operating more as a running threat close to the line looking for the pass before impact to a runner a lot of the time (more similar to Westerman).
Pitts received it deeper and often provided link across the line, this was mainly before engaging the line to influence a shift across the line and get space on the edges early.
Both have value but they aren?t the same thing.
I haven?t yet seen enough of Cozza as he?s only has a couple of games. I like what I see but given the option I?d have Pitts at 13 and bring Cozza on last 25/30 for his hands when hitting the line on a more tired defence.
The link after Cozza is slow but that?s mainly because he runs the ball to the line first so it?s more to hit a runner than shift it to the edge or Max.
It must be difficult for Powell to try manage this and changes.
I still think with Cozza or Pitts at 13 we should have the ability to win though. I think Trueman is back at magic so that will be interesting to see what Powell does. Especially since Cozza seems to be having positive influences on the game.
