| In the sad event that Salford have to start selling to keep trading, sounds like the clubs will have a vote to decide whether Salford players will be exempt from salary cap and quota restrictions.
Suspect we would vote against hull and hull kr for
What do we think ?

| I should think those that want a player will vote for, those that don't will vote against.
But it's more about player welfare. If they don't do it they are forcing an employer to terminate a contract but restricting where that employee can gain new employment.

| Clubs have voted against dispensations for both cap and quota for Salford players, which probably goes in our favour if we are interested in any players.
Interestingly, Salford voted for it themselves, which I guess indicates they are willing to let plenty go.
Clubs that are thought to have cap space along with ourselves are Cas, Hudds, Hull FC and Wire, the rest are at cap.

| It says in that article Quote As it stands, only three clubs – Huddersfield, Leigh and Wakefield – have spots on their overseas quota moving into the 2025 season.'"
I didn't think we had any quota spaces left, I think they've got that wrong. We've got Cap space left.

Didn't know that, only talking about him a couple of days ago.
missed the next thread that is a few pages long telling me the score, that's what you get for not being on here every hour and just clicking on the first link at the top.
Interesting then, it says it was by mutual consent but I wonder if we paid him off to free up a quota space because of the dearth of out-and-out Props.

| Did I read correctly that Salford were banking on a grant from their council, and used that money to book a warm weather training camp in Portugal? Are they insane?

Partially correct
The grant was £500K and was supposed to be to support community links using RL and the stadium, they spent that money on a number of things not just the Portugal trip

| I remember when we were in that situation, we had to sell players, let back room staff go and we cancelled warm weather camps in favour of army camps in Wales and North Yorkshire.
Salford seem to be in some form of denial
