Oh of course, how could I forget the big man!!!
Thinking about players in since then would include our homegrown lot, which although admirable, won't fill the gaps or experience as we all know! Anyway a quick think would bring up something like:
Lauaki, Smith, Green, Taylor, Flower, Dudson.
Wish I'd not bothered looking now but shows how we are 'balancin the books'. Wish I hadn't bothered looking, depressing reading!

I take your point but I actually meant in the time since that season to show what's gone on with player recruitment/retention. |

You are ignoring player development though. RL clubs generally improve by developing the players they have rather than always signing better players than they lose. What I find more concerning is that very few players seem to have improved in the last two years. There's only really Charnley, Goulding, Mossop and Hughes who have really kicked on since 2010 IMO |

Mossop took a massive backwards step last year, particularly towards the end of the season when compared to his 2011 form. Goulding developed well though and looked impressive at centre, especially in attack. Wigan don't have anything to worry about really, although I don't think anybody is disputing you are weaker from the loss of players there is still enough talent to ensure a top 3 finish. |

You think so? McIlorum was pretty good in 2010, I'd say he's about the same now after a below par 2011, definitely don't think he's as good as Wane hypes him up to be. 2 red cards can't be ignored either. I'm a big fan of Farrell but I wouldn't say he's any better than he was in 2010, again after a below par 2011 |
