Really don’t get the Thornley signing. 30+ outside back who has already left the club twice and was unimpressive when I watched any Leigh highlights. I could have understood a one year “prove it” deal.

Hopefully he turns out okay. Hardaker and Bibby would be my starting centres.

I know nothing about Silva but it’s the exact kind of signing I like. Young with potential.

Thornley might do OK and should be more effective than Gildart in getting us up the field at least. But there's no doubt this is the most disappointing signing of the 2022 recruits - you'd want to be replacing an English test centre with someone of similar standard and this ultimately leaves our backline looking substandard for a club aspiring to win things.

In all seriousness I’ve said my thoughts on it but hey he’s a Wigan player now and I’ll back him to succeed. I don’t know much about Silva but the videos online of him make him out to be a real handful. I’m looking forward to seeing him develop and grow. He certainly looks to have the attributes to be a quality prop forward.
