Most underrated Wigan player ever?

Absolute class tonight again but does not get the plaudits he deserves, had that been Cameron Smith people would be wetting themselves.

(Anyone notice him pushing some of our players from the ref to prevent them getting into trouble?) great leadership.

I thought he had a good game and then went on the over forum and somebody said they thought he was dreadful. I couldn’t believe my eyes!

Some list that seeing as half our fans think SOL is crap, Isa, sure Faz has his critics.

I've given him stick in the past but he is maturing into a really good player
I'd say with almost certainty he wil be the next club captain
Defensively he is brilliant and now he is a much more rounded player. I tip my cap to him.
A great club player and I suspect all the players respect him

Holds the team together

Probably the most improved played under Lam. Seems much more confident and free to play.

He controls the game’s beautifully setting up field position for the strike plays and his defence is fantastic.

Personally I’d still like us to carry a “scooting” 9 on the bench with the new rules in play. Just like Leeds do with Dwyer it can change the game.

I don’t think it would need to be at the expense of Powell either as he could comfortably spell at 13 in my opinion during games.

I think he’s solid and had a good game tonight but there are a fair few hookers in the league I would take over him.

Powell is bang average

at least 5 hookers better in SL and every hooker in the NRL

Sam Powell is an NRL hooker all over.

We’ve been through an era of scooter hookers in this country and that’s made fans over here look at a guy like Powell and think his game is lacking but it really isn’t. He plays 80 mins, his work rate is unbelievable, he’s a leader and sets an example and he’s improved massively with the ball this last two seasons. There’s not many hookers in superleague I’d swap him for all things considered.
