It wasn't a request for information, more a general observation on the seemingly inept procurement of playing staff. But the question remains.
I can't remember the last time I was filled with such a lethargic state of expectation pre season. |

Thats how it looked but now Joel looks likely to leave so he may be replaced by Goulding or Roberts or according to the League Weekly a new centre from the NRL with any luck.
Overall we're no weaker imo and if guys like Mellor show what they can do we'll be stronger.
Looking forward to the club progressing in 2012.

You've missed out Epalahame Lauaki. Hock is no replacement for Hoffman and Mellor, Powell etc are no replacement for deacon, yet.
We're desperately short of a centre and Carmont is another year older. I would say we are weaker overall but if players like Mossop, McIllorum, Tomkins, Charnley are on stepped contracts, then they will be taking up more of the cap. Hopefully if Tomkins leaves we can spend that on a decent centre. I don't expect a signing the calibre of Renouf/Miles/Lyon etc, but a natural centre would benefit us massively. |

Fielden is already in our squad in case you hadn't realised.
Joel Tomkins is "probably" on his way (and imo is not a centre either)
What about Hoffman?
Are you sure about Deacon?
Oh and we need a centre (and I mean a proper one) #1 priority. |
