We can't win the big games

They have a slight point. In the second half of the season taking Huddersfield out of the equation we have only one game against the "big 3" which was Leeds at home. To add to this we have lost to Leeds twice in massive games, once in the cup and once in the playoffs

For me we have lacked cutting edge in the big games when its been close. Two weeks ago against Leeds I noticed we saw our *rses a bit and reverted back to the Noble style one man rugby at key points in the game.

This is a great opportunity for us to show we are not like Wire (big time bottlers)

Ouch - truth hurts. For all the advances made this season we still have a corner to turn, hopefully on Saturday.

I honestly believe we're probably a year ahead of where I thought we would be. So even if we lose tomorrow, or next week I'll look back and think we have had a decent season. However, next season I really expect us to get to and hopefully win a major final.
We have played some superb rugby this year, long may it continue.

BUT, after being top from round 3, if we do not make the GF it will be classed and poor end to what has been a great season for Wigan RL.

Agreed. It was always going to be a case of achieve consistency then learn how to win the big games. If we've achieved the first target a year early, great, but now we are where we are the next obstacle must be conquered now, not at the end of next season.

I think we'll make it this time. Even with Bails, O'Carroll and Mossop fit and Amos over his troubles we couldn't be much stronger whilst Peacock and McGuire are holes for Leeds to fill.

the leeds fans have been trying to rip into me over the last few days too but not really getting themselves anywhere. i'm just running them round in circles and they are falling for it big time ha ha



and anyway, this particular table suggests we have played more games against the top 5 than wire saints & leeds yet have won the same amount of games as saints have anyway which is the best winning ratio

Leeds have beaten Wire twice, Hudds and Saints once. So your table isn't quite right. We've also beaten Wigan and Saints in the cup/POs.

And why would you do that? If anything you should be listing the table for the playoff and CC games. E.g the games where the intensity lifts a notch.

Previous results head to head go completely out of the window anyway. This game is too close to call, way too close., no stats can change that.
