Football club......summer time......relay pitch.......Broncos kicked out for 2 months......nuff said.

The only way it will ever work with a football club is one in the lower leagues who may be willing to have installed the same pitch as Widnes Vikings use, which by the way after the early problems seems to have settled down and been accepted, then no problem and it can be used every day of the year!

I should say it's not actually in Kew, but next to Kew Bridge station.

Its Brentford, Hounslow as much as the residents around there wish you to think they live in Kew or Chiswick lol

Applied to Brentford's old pitch but not necessarily to a newly-installed one. Wigan don't seem to have any serious problems except for Premiership football regulations and Dave Whelan's ego.

But we'd have to be proper partners, not tenants, to make anything like this work.

I hate us being tenants anywhere but I don't rust football clubs. They shaft you at every opportunity and must be the the most self centred sporting clubs there are. Pity we cant get a share for our own security.

I think London Welsh may get there before us!

I could not see a prob with a shared venture, issue with the pitch is rubbish, wigan seem to cope ok,

London Welsh have a binding contract to play at Oxford if they are in the Premiership. At least that is what the local media have been saying in Oxford for some weeks

It will be years before this is built. London Welsh will be bust by then, and so will we, probably.

This move has been long mooted, and the main player has finally agreed a deal for the site. I still see a possibility of them coming to us and asking Hughes to pump in a few million for a long-term lease for the summer months and office space, esp given the numerous financial problems football clubs and rugby clubs have had shortly after moving to new facilities.

Much more likely in the short-term is a move to Old Deer Park for the smaller fixtures and On The Road Games for the bigger names in Super League. You'd like to think we could sell out one stand and have the other few thousand standing, most of the away fans want to do that anyways and so do some of us apparently.
