I think its a good thing that Lunt cant get in......it shows the fringe players, or what we thought would be fringe players, are doing a good enough job to keep the bigger guys out.

As i've always said the player who has the shirt should lose it on his performance on the field rather than anything else and the guys who've played so far haven't done anything to suggest they should lose their shirts.

That's okay if you haven't the likes of Billy Whizz, Ratboy or Thurston coming back from injury.
Would you keep one of those out rather than replace an enthusiastic youngster?

I agree but Lawrence in instead of wardle. Stronger in defence against the likes of bridge and Atkins.

shaun lunt hasnt done owt to deserve to be in the reserves, his a top class hooker and one we should be playing also his not exactly old so cant say youngsters deserve a chance when none of the youngsters we have will be replacing him in his position anyway

Too right it's a good thing. Genuine competition for places, not just swapping the side round for fun. Hopefully now a player will have to have a poor game or not do well in training to be dropped rather than give his all one weekend & then just have someone else take the shirt the following Sunday for no apparrent reason.
