Centurions March To Second Season Win Over Error Strewn Trinity
Pride was all that Leigh Centurions had to play for in their penultimate game in Super League as they took on a Wakefield Trinity side who could guarantee themselves a ninth placed finish after a late season run of form saw them climb the league from being relegation prospects.
Leigh were looking for their first home win against Trinity since 2005 and made four changes to the side comprehensively beaten by Hull KR last weekend while the visitors arrived without the services of Joe Westerman, Tom Johnstone and Jay Pitts who both missed out through injury.
Wakefield were the nailed-on favourites with the bookies, the home side with a twelve-point start in the coupon.

Derek, apparently Ryan was offered a contract by Salford , he then went to Derek and told him if Leigh could match the contract he would stay with Leigh , Derek then offered him a smaller contract , so he signed for Salford .
I will miss Ryan , the lad is class , second in Leigh’s all time try scoring charts , still has speed , some folk say he can’t tackle , but he made 2 try saving tackles on Sunday ,should never have been allowed to leave , will he be back .?Never say never . |

The problem is quite clear.
Its all well and good having the richest person in the world as your owner, holding the fans to ransom all the time worrying that without him there will be no club therefore backing his every decision no matter how bizarre they get.
He's cost the club players before and evidently doing it again I've heard of fall outs between him with several of the players who have put a decent shift in this season and subsequently they are moving on next year.
But the Club is his Toy so he does what he wants with it.
What next season? he signs player again, they come for his money(or the TV money? no one is quite sure how much of his own money he actually uses, he just likes telling everyone he does) he falls out with them , they leave, repeat..2023...
How are the club ever going to get an academy set up based on this kind of instability hes already allegedly fallen out with the Tommy Sale Academy so who will want to work with him in another Academy form?
I'm sure that threatening legal action against the RFL/SL will continue to ensure that as a club Leigh are never given a fair crack at anything while hes involved and you cant blame them he makes more enemies than friends!
