A bit hit and miss to be fair,for me just takes the easy option to many times with his passing or short kicking game and doesn't run with the ball enough to keep the defences guessing

A good game last week at Batley, after picking up a nasty injury six days previously.

I think he has invented a new aspect to Rugby League Football in complete "Contact Avoidance" as has already been said he will not take the line on it seems he is willing to throw the ball anywhere before take a tackle, and it is quite comical to watch him in defence hiw he gets out of the way, Duffy knows this and instructs hin to get to the wing when we are not in possession, Ryan Brierley is also not very good in the defence department and it will not be that difficult for opposition coaches to take advantage of this, in my opinion we can only afford either Woods or Brierley on the feikd at the same time, I would select Brierley every time.

Maybe we are enjoying the fruits of what Josh has had coached into him at Wigan? He does seem a little lacking in pace and has tended to overdo the high kick on the 6th tackle. (why are there so few/no full backs in the Championship who drop those kicks?!

) most half backs are shipped out to the outside, so it's not just Josh and Ryan. Sooner or later, when JD has the luxury of a full squad to pick from, we have to have a more 'balanced' side on the pitch, that ideally doesn't contain three half backs and three hookers.

That said, I'm still of the mindset that I respect and applaud ALL our squad, who have put up their hands to commit to, what couldn't have seemed a very attractive cause, back in November and December.

Some harsh comments there I think. I expected more, especially in attack where he doesn’t appear to offer many options, but there are inclines of promise there

Regarding defence, how many half backs are not 2nd man in on defence, if you want a poor defender Richardson is your man. Woods doesn’t seem to let much by or bounce off him, he’s quite well built albeit not to Hutchison levels

Well said Brian Josh has improved his game massively last month or so he is looking the part now

He played a full part in an excellent team victory, the false Greek obviously doesn’t like him.

I think he is exactly as billed. I young halfback with a great future who needs regular game time around an experienced halfback to help with his progress. He is getting better and better week after week and we are only halfway through the season. I believe he will continue to improve all season.
