it was annouced as 1536 but I've never seen the North Stand so empty(except the french game of course) I counted roughly and found approx 300 in there, there didn't look no where near 1536 on. Although couldnt see how many was in the West stand as I was in it.

I was amazed too! As a big critic of Friday night I was actually impressed we could attract such a number in the horrible weather.

in my opinion given the recent run of results that was quite a good gate considering we have just took 2 heavy losses poor weather and the fact that dewsbury brought about 3 fans !!!

I'm with Lynda. The north stand has been a hell of a lot busier than that and there has only been 1700 on. Maybe more people went in the west to rest their legs after a week at work.

The West stand did not appear to have any less than normal in.

However with a crowd of 1500 I think it's time to consign Friday night rugby to the dustbin. My mucker Arthur did not attend last night despite my best persuasive efforts. He reckons Friday nights is a young mans game.

He likes to get settled in front of the box on Friday nights. He's not as young as he used to be

The Royal boxes all seemed busy.

There was no one in the banqueting room, they used boxes instead as there wasnt enough booked to open the room, the was about 80 dining altogether, bu It worked out at £9 for cuury supper, but it was stewed beef in gravy and chicken in gravy, really not one bit spicy at all, they served it at 6.55 as game started at 7.30 and it wasnt very hot, quite a few complained , I didnt, but thought it not the best food Id had, however Ive had worse.

Hate playing Friday nights. Was a rush job to get there Friday instead of a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

consider this, fax/fev and ourselves were all at home this past weekend, all playing shall we say teams with not the biggest following, leigh got just over 1500, fax and fev got just over 2000, what was the differnce, well about 500 paying people, why the difference, well i realise both fax and fev are in a final and they are buzzing at present, this would impact in a positive way in terms of crowds. We are not in a final and have been pasted twice in ther last few weeks, but the main reason is imo friday night rl is and should remain the domain of sl clubs, not championship clubs, its well documented i hate friday night rl, but the crowds this season unfortunately are showing i think that alot of people agree with me. Like i say its far to simplistic to say right play on a sun and the crowds will flood in, i'm not stupid enough to think that, but i do think it would help. For the benfit of our club please scrap friday rl.
