Reading the entrails...............
Having not replaced Kasiano, and having shipped out Dwyer, Dudson and Russell, we had an overseas space plus "a big chunk of salary cap'" This meant that we could move to bring in Yates this season and we still have some space left.
On the subject of Drinkwater he says, "At the minute, we’re pretty tight on the cap for next year". This would suggest that we're already planning to use up Nicholson's and, at least part of, Drinkwater's salaries, plus the remaining 'chunk' on another player or players. Maybe some will go on improved contracts for some of the young 'uns, but it still sounds like a significant signing tba.

| Alffi_7 BOSS HOG: Alffi_7 Or thane: Anyone else think Dan Okoro is being wasted? We signed him, didn't play him, which i get if we've signef him to develop him
We loan him out to Cas, but still isn't being played
So he's now playing less than when he was loaned back to Bradford
So won't this all actually stifle his development?
He wasn`t getting selected in the Bradford team at towards the end of last season in the Championship and now can`t a get a gig in a poor Castleford team.He mustn`t have impressed their respective coaches to justify team selection. Aaahhh righty, i thought he was playing every week Burgess must see something in him to sign him though Maybe another one that comes down to the effort from him maybe? |

When we are beaten, the last thing I want to do is party
I want to sulk and hide away
I would have thought it would be 10x worse for a player
Being humiliated like that with the world watching, I would want to stay in my hotel room, only leaving for the plane under a blanket. |
