Has the issue with his eyesight been resolved? He was diagnosed with Keratoconus at the end of 2019 (he can only see for about 15m), he's played on but I don't whether he's been treated or if indeed there is any treatment.

No it hasn't. He currently wears contacts, but the problem is only going to get worse.

There's no doubting Mikaele's pedigree having been nominated for Rookie Of The Year in 2019, but he is a gamble.

A quick google tells me it is not reversible, progressive in nature, but is treatable.

I'm happy with this, he's a good solid prop who can play good minutes, but the Tigers play him in shorter bursts as an impact prop. He hits hard in defence and attack and is fast for his size, i think the more free flowing game here will suit him
