I'm glad the change has come, I'm angry it didn't happen after the pathetic playoff performance in 2019 it was obvious he is a terrible coach and we played awful rugby under him. Powell should get a season that's all if we are pitiful and playing bad rugby then we need to be ruthless. There has to be a huge improvement next season.

Positives?... the 2 players coming from Cas are far better than the blokes they will be playing instead of.

Powell at least has shown the ability to get a side playing in a watchable way, something Price has never done.

Yes, we still have plenty of, at best, average players, but I believe (well, we have to believe) Powell will get more out of them as a unit than Price is capable of.

Powell gets 2 seasons for me, he has to implement his system, 3rd is vital.

Karl has to fall, he's failed the club with Price.

If I was Powell, I'd have made it a condition of my agreeing to come to the club that Fitzpatrick got fired before I arrived.

Who would want to be Powell having that absolute waste of space loitering around in the background?

To be fair i didn't think this would be an easy game by any means so i'm not surprised or angry. We got further than i thought we would and i'd already switched too 2022 mode months ago.
All i'm bothered about now is who the prop is we're going to bring in.
Already excited for the full coaching change, new players, new culture, and as always it's our year next year

Powell's 1st job is to transform those underperforming individuals into a team, which is a coach's job let's face it...... something Price never was.

Who was your choice for Head Coach?

If anybody thinks Powell is going to get us any further they're having a laugh. That man can't go a week without crying about injuries and tough calls whether he wins or loses. He has just as much a losers mentality as the majority of our squad.

Where do we go? Board will stay exactly the same and in a couple of months the tired old marketing hype will start about "Powell's new breed" or something equally crass and we go again.

Sorry, no. You've just witnessed how far a good coach can elevate a time and how far a poor coach can drag a team down. Powell will lift us several levels above the Price era; where that takes us, we'll have to wait and see.

Price won the same amount of trophies as Powell did at Cas, and Powell had double the tenure. Yes, Warrington have more money, and 'better' players if the wage is what we're going off, but it won't make a difference putting Powell in charge if we're being honest.
