Hopefully Powell was behind this. At least we're not paying for him to travel all the way from Australia or NZ if he's a dud. I don't think he will be though.

However, treat it with a bit of caution as the journalist claims we've already signed Holmes, Bullock and Matautia - none of whom are confirmed by the club.

| The trip to Australia is to pick up his near namesake, James Fisher-Harris.

| Well signing any players from the championship is hit and miss but when they work out its well worth the gamble and if it doesn't pay off we don't lose too much either.
Looks like there could be a lot of change at the end of this season.

About as great as Anthony England. A failed attempt by Wigan to get their own Chris Hill. Great in size, filled with down. If he’s wasn’t, he’d still be on an extended deal with pies.

| Never seen him play so can't really get excited, but 6'4 and about 17st is a promising size. Doesn't mean anything until he plays super league and does well, but i hope we've found another Hill type player rather than another Anthony England.

| I saw Harrison play for Batley against Swinton two or three years ago. He's tall without the big frame though but had a good offload and played plenty of minutes. Think he'll do well in SL but might need to add some weight.

Sounds like Hill when he arrived.

| You won't find a Fev fan like me (or a Batley one, for that matter) with a bad word to say about James Harrison.
Summary of pros and cons re playing in SL:
Pros
Great attitude
Really fit - has regularly played 60 minutes in the middle for Fev.
Has a burst of speed by prop/middle standards
Good eye for a gap, and reads the game well - has scored quite a few tries backing up other players' half-breaks.
Cons
Body shape - he's tall but quite skinny for a middle
As a result - upper body strength an issue, can be forced back when body tackling
I'm still not totally convinced that his best position isn't that edge back row role, but everyone seems to think he's a middle - he can certainly play both positions effectively. Definitely won't ever let anyone down, and has continued to improve week on week so not surprising so many SL clubs were after him.
