Interesting that the players sitting next to the head and assistant coach on the 2015 team photo are Chris Hill and Joel Monaghan. From the interview with Gary Skent on Warrington Worldwide TS mentions no names as to who will be captain for this year, only that those who perform during the warm weather training will be the ones most likely to be considered. Smoke and mirrors me thinks as it's bound to be between Chilly and Joel - which gotta say I'm more than pleased with as they have the respect of everyone in the game.

Referring to some comments Smith has already made it is very likely to be Joel.

He did seem to become quite vocal on the pitch over the course of last season.

Either would be a great choice, they are both leaders on the field and as ghf says Joel did become a lot more vocal last year.

Yes Saddened one drunken, harmless mistake makes him a horrible person completely unworthy of anyone's respect. Great player, vast experience, good talker, nice guy, great rugby brain....he's the only option in my eyes. Has to be Joel.

Joel must be in with a shout as said he has the respect, experience to go with a good rugby brain plus offers a steadying influence when on the field.

Lol, get a grip, he's the new Ched Evans suddenly. Having approached him in the street "out of hours" with two nine year old kids for his photo to be taken with them I can vouch for him being very polite and obliging and a good ambassador for the club

Joel Monaghan is one of the nicest guys I've met, it's between him or Hill for me but I think Joel will get the nod.

Only his team mates need to respect him and I'm sure they do, both as a person and a player. What he did in the past will most probably have been forgotten about, except in jest.
