I won't believe anything until it's offically announced. The thing I find odd is why would anyone not just Carney sign a contract with us as the moment with the tribunal hanging over us. I'd have thought they'd be advised to wait until the outcome of that was known.

Well, we're in the best position to sign him, due to this temporary loan arrangement. But what pleases me, is that he's decided to stay instead of the rumoured Wigan offer. So this tells me that behind the scenes, there must have been a huge Seachange of protocols introduced by Sheens, Koukash Etc...which no doubt attracted Carney's decision to stay, whereas historically, players couldn't wait to get away from us.
The future obviously looks bright with this coup of a signing he's dipped his toes in the water and decided to dive in. Definitely, a good sign of what's coming I feel.
