The thing is, Salford could offer more money but it's not a guarantee that a player will stay. He may view it as the next step for his career and would certainly help him get the full England Cap. I would understand if he went, hopefully he wont, but it's a short career. On the face of it, it seems silly for him to go now after sticking with us through the difficult times but who knows eh?

We need to get him a centre who gives him good service.

I'd hope Jodie also views it that he's stuck with us through the bad times and could now become a key figure in out potentially good times.

pretty sure the club supported him whilst he attended Uni , but seems a bit of loyalty is none existent between anyone nowadays.

No doubting his pace when he finds space but he hasn't had the best service since he joined us. He can certainly finish but if I have one big criticism it's how he jogs (rather than running the ball in hard) when he makes kick returns.

Thought the anti-tampering deadline was in place until the end of this month, meaning he wouldn't be allowed to talk with other clubs? Unless he's said he wants to go and we've let him talk to them...?

A few posters on the Saints board have pointed out it could be his agent trying to get him a bit of a pay increase at Salford, which makes sense.

I thought Jodie sold the club brilliantly,in December.
I bet he would turn up to support his teammates if he was injured/rested/suspended or otherwise not playing.
Think the new coach should make that obligatory.

I missed Ladies Day.Double Drat ! I think that young lady who follows the club to every game - the one who made it to Cheltenham on crutches - ( Nah,not like that;she did use the infernal combustion engine to assist just a little )
I would have requested the club present her with at least a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates - handed to her by her favourite player or person of her choice at the club.

Jodie is one of those players I'd love to see lift a trophy in a Salford shirt. He hasn't had much to shout about since playing for us and for all his hard work, effort, commitment and fantastic individual performances he deserves too. Hopefully he'll stay long enough to get there.
