Interesting decision.

Tbf if you heard his interview after the Wakefield match, you would have thought someone had died.

It's not just three games tho. This harps back to the no-show at Wembley, not getting into the top 8, poor performances at the end of last season, poor pre-season and now, the poor start to the season, not to mention the poor recruitment under his stewardship.
The guy has been given enough time and patience by the fans and board. Chester is a nice guy, but nice guys don't make good ruthless coaches.

3 games in and with an injury list that would hurt most clubs, this is bonkers.

Those in charge at KR need a quick reality check.

But it's not 3 games tho is it. This decision was based from the latter part of last year until now.

OK they didn't get to the top 8 last Year but made Wembley, won every game in the middle 8s, lost campese from may last year onward have had a bulky injury list this season. They outscored wakefield 3 tries to 2 but their kicker wasn't fit. Had they of won that game 16 14 would that of been a stay of execution?

Yes we got to Wembley. But put in a performance that will be long remembered (in this city anyway) for all the wrong reasons. The top 8's were in our sights last year, until a capitulation against Salford followed up by a disgraceful performance against our nearest and dearest at home.
The middle 8's were poor by all super league teams. We just so happened to be the least poorest.
Pre-season and recruitment have been a joke, as well as our performances on the pitch.
Then there's these three games. No game plan, no confidence, leaderless.
I applaud the board for acting now. Gives time to find a quality replacement. And a chance to turn things around.

Maybe a bit too early in the season but as Hessle Rover says, better to do it now than wait and risk losing more games. There will undoubtedly be a better fell around that club now and once to injury crisis begins to ease things will improve

As an outsider looking in, it seems a terrible decision. I keep reading what a poor season Hull KR had last season from their supporters, what I would have given for a trip to Wembley and a 100% record in the Qualifiers. They only missed out on the play-offs by two points as well, all this with Campese missing as mentioned above from May onwards.

If you looked at their 2015 squad, you would say the finished in the league where you would have expected and over achieved in the cup.

This season their injury list is terrible, with many key players missing. I thought a point at home to Castleford was a good result for them and very encouraging off the back of their pre-season thumping by Hull, yes they were comprehensively beaten by Warrington (wont be the first and last team to do so this season) and they should have beaten Wakefield if it wasn't for their inability to convert their tries from near enough bang in front of the posts.

Nobody else could have done a better job given the circumstances.

Pretty shocking. Not exactly bottom with a handful of games to go is it?
