Brough, Wallace, McManus, Linnett, Robertson...Scots backline not looking too shabby.'"
I assume Wallace and Brough will be the halves, McManus wing, Linnett at centre, and Robertson at full back.
So now they need some (at least 5) quality forwards, NRL or Super League, otherwise those very classy backs will not get a chance with the ball.
Does anybody know of any such forwards who qualify?

Matty Russell will probably turn out for them (born there). If they can get the Horne and Henderson brothers, Ferguson, Fisher, Hood, Walker etc they could put upsome decent fights.
EDIT: Gilmore, Galloway too?

The Henderson brothers (Catalans and Sheffield) would make a wonderfully effective duo of hookers.
Could one of the Hornes play at centre?
Can you spell out which Ferguson, Hood and Walker you are referring too, and their positions?

| Daryl Clark could also play if he doesn't get selected for England.

| Looking good for my 2nd team (obviously supporting England first). Hopefully will be going to the Scotland v USA game at Salford.

| Group C will probably be the best in the tournament. Too bad half of it is hidden away in Cumbria.

I don't see why not. I'm sure that the ARL try to have some rule about if you play Origin you are automatically delcared for Australia, but I doubt the RLIF will see it like that, considering the World Cup is their sanctioned competition.
McManus has already said he wants to play for Scotland in the World Cup. If he is not able to, simply because he got picked for Origin, then that is ridiculous, especially as he was actually born in Scotland and isn't just eligible because of parents/grandparents....

When Hayne got injured in the first origin game Minichiello was suggested as a replacement. Minichiello, would have had to declare himself available for Australia to play State of Origin. If he did that, he would then have to wait two years - under the International Rugby League guidelines - before returning to represent Italy.
I'm guessing the same rules applied for McManus.
