Easy, I work in Print and Design and I have seen far worse. It's called sods law, it's also called being hidden in plain site. Mistakes are always obvious once you spot them and the more obvious the easier they are missed, strange as it seems.
It's a funny thing but we all think what other people do is easy, a bit like we all know better than the Coach. Some poor sod will have worked out that strip to enth degree but someone made the mistake early on and from that point no one was looking for it. Ho hum. |

I don't give a shiny e if you worked for a dictionary company.
You proof read things which are important. It's not difficult. If you've seen worse then you've seen bad processes where things don't get checked. There are few words on this thing to check. You'd think it would have been checked properly before it was printed, this is going to cost a lot of money. |

This mistake [ishould have been[/i extremely easy to spot (especially as there was so little to check), but clearly [iwasn't[/i. The shirt must have been seen by many people, presumably some of them highly literate, before getting into the customers' hands. It's pretty amazing that the error wasn't spotted but the fact that it wasn't supports Vastman's point and makes your response look pretty arrogant. |
