Ferguson injured as well? I'd agree with dropping gale, Adam Brook looked ok in the friendly's. Nothing to lose here. Wigan seem quite strong with most of their regulars in the squad

Bateman played well for Wigan. It was all just a matter of keeping him out of Holmewood in an evening to fulfil his potential. He needed the move. Shame he was sold during the time of whitcut, as Wigan got him cheap.

Asking Adam Brook to start in the halves away at the champions is a bit too much to ask in my opinion. I wouldn't risk Gaskell if he's carrying an injury which could be worsened by playing against Wigan.

We were 'full strength' before the Leeds game and 3 days later we now have Sidlow, Donaldson, Blythe, Diskin, George and Foster all missing. We honestly have no luck when it comes to injuries.

I'm afraid that squad will be in for a torrid time over in Wigan.

TBF even if all injured players were available we'd still be in for a torrid time at wigan. Doubt we'll drop gale but I doubt Gaskell will play if theres even slightest worry about knock he took against leeds. Suspect a few of injured players could play, at risk of aggravating injuries, if it was a match we had a realistic chance of getting a result in.

In the general swing of things I'd probably agree but, as things are, he's not going to be weighed down with over the top expectations. I'm sure he's got his own personal goals but there's no-one in the stands, nor I guess in the dug-out, going to criticise whatever happens - he may as well just enjoy it.

We had no chance anyway so why not give the young ones a run out? I would not risk anyone who is not 100% either.
What is wrong with Foster? Still I'll? He has been ill a long time.
