Spoke to Semi Tadulala this morning in the cafe near school, before he went training, i asked him about his contract, he said the bulls have offered him one but he has spoke with RU clubs, he mentioned Leeds Carnegie and that if he doesn't sign for Bradford he will go to RU, i mentioned about his success in the WC with Fiji and he mentioned that Akuila Uate the opposite winger to him, currently with Newcastle is looking to sign for a SL Club, so there could be a possibility there

Surprised he was so open tbh! Ive spoken to him before and he's a genuinely nice guy, I think he deserves another contract but I wouldn't be surprised to see -if he gets offered- him go to union. Akuila Uate, don't know much about him, but if Semi recommends him he can't be all that bad.

Uate played 4 games at the World Cup and scored 5 tries, including a hat trick against France. I remember watching him and thinking he looked half decent to be honest.

it would be good, hes only 21 and from what i saw in the world cup he looked very promising, he has good pace

didnt semi try to make the switch to union whilst he was at wakefield. If I remember correctly then there could be something in this, semi's at an age where hes probably only got another year or so at SL level whereas if he switched codes now he'll get another 3 or 4 years in union. If semi does go then we'd probably have to look to bring someone in, unless theres someone close to making step up from reserve level?, anyone know what quality reserve wingers are upto?

so if semi goes we need to look at bringing someone in basically. noticed in league express that will sharp at quins is a bradford lad, ex dudley hill, wonder if fancies a return up north.

tend to agree tbh, name just came to mind because of bradford connection. which wingers are available? havent really looked as just assumed we'd retain semi for another year. Cant say I can think of many british ones who'd be available and not be a step down in quality, so I guess we'd have to look overseas.
